Cookie Policy

Updated July 2026

This policy explains how AI Rubric Generator uses essential cookies, Google OAuth and session cookies, Plausible Analytics, Google Analytics 4, and limited analytics event parameters.

Essential cookies

AI Rubric Generator uses essential cookies that are required for account sign-in, Google OAuth state validation, security, session continuity, and support workflows. The airubric_oauth_state cookie is used during Google OAuth sign-in and lasts about 10 minutes. The airubric_session cookie supports logged-in sessions for up to 30 days and is cleared when you log out. These cookies use Path=/, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure on HTTPS where applicable.

Google OAuth and session cookies

When you choose Google sign-in, Google may process OAuth authentication information under Google's own terms and privacy policy. The site stores the minimum account and session records needed to identify your account and attach Free or Pro access. Logging out clears the browser session cookie and removes the matching server session record.

Plausible Analytics

The site uses Plausible Analytics served from plausible.shipsolo.io to measure page views and low-sensitivity product events. Plausible is used as a privacy-friendly analytics service and does not require us to set analytics cookies for this site.

Google Analytics 4 cookies

The site may use Google Analytics 4 when NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID is configured. GA4 JavaScript tags may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and sessions, subject to Google's terms, privacy policy, and browser controls. The current production GA4 Measurement ID is G-457EGTKWFY.

Analytics event parameter whitelist

Analytics events are limited to event names and low-sensitivity properties such as template, framework, plan, and status. The frontend analytics helper truncates string values and does not send assignment descriptions, rubric text, student names, emails, prompt text, PayPal order ids, provider ids, or other personal information as analytics event parameters.

Opt-out and browser controls

You can limit or clear cookies through your browser settings, block third-party requests with browser or extension controls, use Google Analytics opt-out tools where available, or log out to clear the site session cookie. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, account, checkout, or Pro access features from working correctly. If the site is later marketed to EU, UK, or EEA users, analytics should be gated behind a consent banner, CMP, or Google Consent Mode before those campaigns begin.
